We fail to reach our goals because we spend too much time figuring out HOW we will get there. When I wanted to move back to Phoenix I had all the reasons why I couldn’t: I can’t leave my son, his wife and my granddaughters. I don’t have a job there. It would cost too much money to move, yada, yada, yada.
But when I stopped focusing on HOW I could possibly move and concentrated on how it would FEEL to have the hot desert sun on my skin and enjoying the sauna-like warmth of getting into my car after a meal in a sub-zero restaurant or watching the magnificent coral and teal sunsets, it all began to unfold.
As I dreamt of glorious sunsets under the depressing, concrete sky of the Pacific Northwest, little things began to show up. I received a 30% pay cut that was devastating. But it allowed me to rethink where I wanted to be. Did I want to start over where I was or was it possible for me to move? I told my boss about my dream to move to Phoenix and she said, “You do your job from home now. You could do it in Phoenix.”
Everything else fell into place and within 6 months I had moved and left my last cold, dreary winter in the Northwest behind. Then I knew for sure there was a God! My prayers had been answered.
Dream your dream and leave the details up to God. He has lots of angels to take care of things. Pay attention and make sure to take action on the magical things that show up to propel you to your dream life.
