What holds you back from living your dream? Time? Watching the news or too much TV can be a waste of time. It’s easy to get caught up in the next Casey Anthony trial or the next school shooting. But using that time on building your dream is so much more productive.
What about fear of change?
Sometimes you need to leave long-time friends because they can’t be part of your future life. They will treat you differently when you succeed and may not want to be around you anymore. Then you have a choice. Stay and be miserable with them or bless them and continue on your path.
This is not easy and it is very sad – but once you move forward you will see the rewards. Hang out with the kind of people you want to be like. We tend to be in the same economic class as the 5 people we spend the most time with. If you don’t have 5 friends you want to be like, read books and listen to CD’s of the kind of people you want to emulate.
When you leave these friends they may call you stuck up, too big for your britches or much worse. The choice is yours. Continue down the same path with your friends or step out onto your Divine Path.
Develop a winning attitude. Attitude is everything. When your attitude is right, the facts don’t matter. Should the Seattle Seahawks have beat the Denver Broncos by so much in the last Super Bowl? According to the facts, no. But at the beginning of the season the Seahawks asked, “Why not us? Why can’t we win the Super Bowl?”
So I ask, “Why not you? Why can’t you have your dream life?” Only you can decide what will hold you back.
Please share with me below why you think you can’t live the live you dream about. What’s stopping you?
